Hello! A new challenge starts at A Blog Named Hero today! This month's challenge is another great one - birthdays! You can never have too many birthday cards, and I love challenges like this that help you to build up your card stash - and giving you a chance to win a gift card at the same time! ;)
For some reason, I love including rainbow color schemes into my birthday cards. I think there's just something about it that screams, CELEBRATION! For my card, I used supplies from the March My Monthly Hero kit - which, I'm sure you've realized, has been one of my favorite kits ever (and somehow, it's still in stock!!). I've use different parts of it on a lot of my recent projects.
I picked out some stamps, and repeatedly stamped one of the images in rainbow order, overlapping by a bit each time. My MISTI was really helpful for this, because I kept it in the same spot, but slid it up or down for each next stamping so that everything lined up perfectly.
This card design is great, because you get to play with your collection of ink pads and customize it with whatever colors you want! Other than the inks, it really doesn't take many supplies, either. I finished the card by mounting it on some color patterned paper, then on a bright aqua card base. The finishing touch was some of the sequins that came in the March kit, which have found their way on many, many of my projects.
I hope you'll join the challenge this month! Can't wait to see what you create!!
