March Plan With Me | Free Printable

Come plan with me and see how I set up my bullet journal for March 2019! This month, I created an evergreen forest theme with some ideas for adapting this for more spring-like leaves as well.

I know that the start of Spring is technically in March, so this theme might seem a bit too winter-y, but it’ll still be a while until it really warms up where I live! And I think it actually worked out perfectly because there’s an option to switch some of the pine needle illustrations into more spring-like leaves halfway through the month. There’s also the option to use these leafy branches instead of the pine needles on the cover page! I also really wanted to include a little cabin illustration because I’ll be going on a little getaway to a B&B in the forest at the end of March so I thought that would be a fun element to include :)

On the other side of my cover page, I quickly lettered a quote that has really been encouraging me lately: “If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.” It’s a good reminder that when things are hard, that’s just the price you have to pay sometimes to see some results - and they might be long-term results, so don’t give up!

As always, I created all my weekly layouts for the month in one sitting, but this time I switched things up a bit and did different variations with the same basic blueprint. The first one follows most closely with the monthly theme with two borders of pine branches going down the sides of the pages. I used a Tombow dual brush pen and my Uniball Signo white gel pen to create the headers for the days of the week.

For a quicker variation, you can run two strips of washi tape instead of the branch illustrations, like I did for my 2nd layout. It gives a very different but equally pretty effect :) I love this mushroom washi tape I got in this washi set from Amazon.

The third week of March was a perfect time to bring in those leafy branches I mentioned since the first day of spring is that week! Drawing these branches is similar to the pine needles but with leafy oval shapes instead of little strokes. I love that you can get such a different look by just changing one little element! This layout was the perfect way to transition to spring while still looking cohesive with the beginning layouts of the month.

My last weekly layout was another quick washi one, using another roll from that same washi set.

Next, I created a page for me to keep track of tv, books, and music for the month. I just drew some freeform boxes and decorated with more pine branches and some dropshadows. Super quick and easy, butI love how this came out! This layout would can be easily adapted for any little things you need to keep track of for the month!

Finally, I created a space for my monthly favorites - this is usually where I include the things I’ve been eating most that month, my favorite of the books and movies I’ve read/watched, the makeup/clothes I’ve been wearing that month. Just random fun stuff :)

And that’s all for this month’s bullet journal setup! I hope you enjoyed and that this gave you some ideas. Happy planning!
