Hey everyone, it's Michelle Yuen here! Ok, so I really have a problem with paper scraps. I just always want to save every little bit. I mean, you know how you always end up with all those little bits and slivers on the side of your paper trimmer? It's hard for me to even throw those out without sorting through what can still be usable first! But I know I'm not the only one, right??
I came up with this super easy and quick card design to put some of those scraps to use. All you have to do is cut up a bunch of scraps into varying widths. I tried to stick to a few colors to keep it cohesive, but you can also go crazy and have a rainbow effect if you want! Once I had a good amount of strips, I just taped them all up against each other at a diagonal on a card front. I did this for just a section of the front, but you can also make a full background if you decide to.
Once you have that done, it is so easy to finish up the card. I wanted a larger focal stamp that would still stand out on the busy striped background, and the new Sweet Shoppe stamp was perfect for that. To tie in the background and to add some words, I stamped a line of sentiments from Drive By Sweet along the same diagonal as the stripes.
So easy and cute! What are you waiting for, go put those scraps to use! :)
