Video: Stamping with Zig Clean Color True Brush Pens

Hello! I know you all have been loving the Zig Clean Color True Brush Pens just like I've been... so today I'm sharing a tutorial that shows you a unique way to use these pens. We'll be doing some watercolor stamping with them to create this snowflake holiday card (because it's always a good time to make holiday cards).

Usually when I use these pens, I stamp an outlined image, and color them in like watercolor markers. But with this technique, you color directly onto the stamp, as if you're inking it up. What's great about this method is that you get really cool blending of the ink colors directly on the stamp!! The stamp set I used for today's card is the Holiday Sparkles set from The Alley Way Stamps.

To get the colors moving on the stamp, I misted them once or twice with a Perfect Pearl mist - I basically just take a spray bottle of normal water, and then add some Perfect Pearls pigment to make it all shimmery. This makes the snowflakes extra pretty, but you can also stick to normal water!

You can play around with how much water you spray onto your stamp - I find that too much water ends up with runny results, but this might depend on the stamp you use, and how much you color your stamp. I even forgot to mist up once while stamping (on the smaller grey and blue snowflake in the photo below), but the results were still awesome!! So play around to see what look you like best :)

Don't be afraid to blend the colors with your pens on your stamps - since they are real brushes, you can brush away the extra color onto some scrap paper, and your pens won't be damaged. Pretty awesome, huh?

So here is the video to see it all in action!

I hope this tutorial gives you some inspiration to use your Zig Clean Color Markers in a new way!
