Stencil Series #8: DIY Glitter Tags

Hi everyone! I'm here today with the last video tutorial in my Stencil Series. To wrap off, I'm going to be showing you how to create DIY Glitter Tags.

Now, glitter tags are nothing new. They are super trendy and so versatile! You can use them on cards, on scrapbooking layouts, or to package some cute gifts. But what's special about the ones I'm showing you today is that the glitter DOES NOT rub off!!! AT ALL. Because as much I know we all love glitter, having glitter all over your face and boyfriend's clothes for the next week isn't the aftermath we all want or need.

So, go ahead and watch how I create these glitter tags where the glitter stays put.

Ooo aren't they just gorgeous?? I only showed you how to make tags in this video, but I'll be showing you how I used one of these tags on a card next week.

Here's a close up of the Mod Podge glitter tags:

And the Glossy Accents Glitter Tags:

As I mentioned in the video, both glues produce very similar results. They both make the glitter stay put, embedded in the glue, and both dry completely clear. I prefer the Mod Podge because it's a little runnier and also cheaper - so it's better for using in larger quantities. But, that being said, if you only have glossy accents on hand, that'll work great as well so go ahead and just give it a try!

I'd love to see if you create any awesome tags or projects with this technique - be sure to share with me if you do!! :)
