Who else is SO excited that it is finally Spring and April is just around the corner?? I feel like this winter has been so long (although really, it always feels that way to me) and I am so ready for the weather to warm up.
For this month’s spread, I created a wildflower meadow theme, which is getting me even MORE excited for all the spring flowers and outdoor activities! I also included some bunnies and butterflies to complete these scenes.
Next to my monthly cover page, I illustrated a flower wreath with a quote inside. This artwork is my free printable of the month, which gets sent out in my email newsletter - you can sign up for it here if you’re not already!
These cover spreads always take the most time for me because there is so much illustration - but I always LOVE the final look, and they are my favorite spreads to see when flipping through my journal, so it’s worth the time and effort it takes!
For my monthly overview, I created a large open calendar with a box for my goals for the month and drew another border of wildflowers along the bottom. Keeping the calendar simple and open with just horizontal dividers and no outlines or vertical lines is a huge timesaver! I can’t be the only one who get bored of drawing so many straight lines, so I like to cut them out when I can ;)
Next, I created a really simple braindump page, which will just be a space for me to write down any random thoughts I have throughout the month that don’t need a full page to themselves.
To be honest, I was getting lazy and didn’t want to draw another huge assortment of wildflowers so I just scattered a few along the outlines of the page, but I actually LOVE the dainty effect it gave!
The final spread is pretty much the exact same favorites spread that I created in my March bullet journal setup, because I loved how it worked out!
If you’ve been around for a bit, you know that I love to create all my weekly spreads for a month with one layout design at the very beginning so I don’t have to worry about it each week. I didn’t include them in this video this time because next week I’ll be doing a video on 5 Weekly Layout Ideas, so stay tuned for that!
So that is all from me today - thanks for stopping by, and happy planning!
